How to register for the SSAT 

With how the Covid-19 epidemic is at its peak, registering for many international programs or certificates will be somewhat difficult. However, unlike other international certifications, the SSAT registration process can be completed online. Here is the process to guide parents and students on How to register for the SSAT.

Step 1: First create an account on SSAT’s website

Before registering for SSAT, your first task is to create an SSAT account. It will allow you to do the following:

• You can print your admission ticket.
• You will be allowed to change your test date, location along with contact information.
• You can easily add or cancel score recipients.
• You will be able to get your SSAT score report (s).
• It is possible to track the test date, location, and other related information.
• You can appear in SSAT practice sessions online.

Step 2: Register for the SSAT

Now, you can register for the SSAT by following the steps below:

• You need to visit the website ssat.org and click on the “Login” button.
• Provide your username and password and click the Sign In button.
• Then, click “Manage My SSAT” and click the “Register for SSAT” button. If you cannot see the “Register for SSAT” option, it is disabled because you are logged in as a student. You need to log out and log back in as parent/guardian to register for the test.
• Next, click “Let’s Get Started”
• If you are disabled or have a serious medical condition, please report it in the “Testing Accommodations for a documented disability” section. Otherwise, click Next.
• You will also be asked to indicate whether you would like to test on Sunday for any religious reasons. Otherwise, click Next.
• Next, you need to report your education level (school, grade, …) Finally follow the rest of the tabs and your registration is done.

If you don’t know if there is a school or center that offers the SSAT in your area, you can locate the test centers in two ways. You can follow the Test Center Search Feature available at http://www.ssat.org/test-center-search or you can start your registration from your SSAT account.

When is the next SSAT test date?

The SSAT is administered at testing centers six times during the school year (August 1 to July 31). This is the traditional and most common way to take the exam. The exam is taken with pencil and paper.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, two new formats for taking the SSAT Middle Level and Upper Level have been introduced and will continue to be offered through the end of the 2021-2022 school year. 

• The first new test format is the Prometric test center: Test dates are held year-round with exact dates depending on your test location. This SSAT will be the same as the paper-based versions, just taken on the computer.
• The other option is taking the SSAT on the computer, at home. This requires having certain computer and system requirements, and the exam will be remotely proctored.

Below is a summary of upcoming SSAT dates and their application deadlines. You should register for the SSAT at least three weeks before the test date to avoid late fees.
