GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is the standardized test for admission to postgraduate (Master or Ph.D.) in the natural sciences and social sciences (except Medicine, Pharmacy, Law) in the US.

GMAT vs. GRE – the difference

	GMAT	GRE
Education program	Graduate schools of business administration. All MBA programs.	Natural and social training schools (except Medicine, Pharmacy, Law). The top training schools in the MBA program of more than 1,000 schools.
Purpose	General entry test for most graduate programs.	Is the entrance test for business administration programs.
Structure	1 analysis, 1 essay, and 1 more synthesis essay. Analytical essay writing: 2 parts, 30 minutes each. Language reasoning: 2 parts, 30 minutes/session. Quantitative theory: 2 parts, 35 minutes/part.	1 analysis, but in return, there will be 1 more test. Analytical essay writing: 2 parts, 30 minutes/session. Language reasoning: 1 part, 75 minutes. Quantitative theory: 1 portion, 75 minutes.
Test format	The language and math sections are divided into 2 parts. The results you achieved in part 1 will determine the difficulty level of the second part.	The difficulty level of the next sentence will depend on the correct or wrong answer of the previous sentence.
Content	Math is judged very difficult.	The test is about vocabulary and reading comprehension, the more time you spend reviewing, the more words, writing skills, language, and vocabulary that are judged very difficult.
