SSAT is divided into 3 levels suitable to the student’s age abroad:
- SSAT Elementary Level: for students in grades 3-4.
- SSAT Middle Level: for students in grades 5-7.

The scale
- Elementary Level: each section (Math, Verbal, Reading) ranges from 300 – 600 points. The total score ranges from 900 – 1800 points. The average score is 1350 points.
- Middle Level: each section (Math, Verbal, Reading) ranges from 440 – 710 points. The total score ranges from 1320 – 2130 points. The average score is 1725 points.
- Upper Level: each section (Math, Verbal, Reading) ranges from 500 – 800 points. The total score ranges from 1500 – 2400 points. The average score is 1950 points.
SSAT exam preparation
SSAT tests your knowledge of Math, Verbal, Reading but does not mean that students who do well in these subjects can easily get high scores in the exam. Especially at Upper Level, requires students to acquire a broad vocabulary to meet the ability to attend high schools in the US, also test their reading comprehension and numeracy skills. Therefore, students who want to take this exam must plan for SSAT exam preparation in detail in order to achieve the expected score.
Self-study
- Set specific score goals depending on the school’s application.
