- Analytical Writing Assessment: 30 Minutes
As mentioned above, this section focuses on assessing test takers’ critical thinking skills as well as the ability to present a coherent and clear point on view on various business topics.
GMAT test will be conducted on a computer which means you have to type your whole essay. Each contestant can only use basic commands, such as Cut, Copy, and Paste. Furthermore, as there will be no grammar detecting add-on so careful inspection for spelling and syntax error before handing over the test will be highly recommended.
- Integrated Reasoning: 30 Minutes
This section focuses on evaluating test-takers’ analytical and synthetical ability by covering a large number of fields helping examiners to identify the candidates’ information processing skills for different types of topics.
Consisting of 12 multiple-choice questions of which there are a few things you need to be aware of:
- This section requires students to analyze a wide range of knowledge to be able to solve the problem. Therefore, test takers need to diversify answers for each question.
- If you do not finish your answer, the system will not grade that question by default.
- You can’t go back and fix your answer after you complete a question.
- Quantitative: 62 Minutes
GMAT only utilizes Mathematics on a high school level basis, but since this is quantitative Mathematics so most questions don’t give specific numeral data. In addition to that, the time limit is quite short demanding students to memorize all of the formulas as well as practice mental arithmetic
With 31 multiple-choice questions, the Quantitative section increases its difficulty by not letting test takers use a calculator, so mental arithmetic is indeed a necessity.

- Verbal: 65 Minutes
This is the most difficult section as the GMAT is a postgraduate certificate to study for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in English, so it requires students to possess a large number of technical vocabulary and language skills to be able to research profoundly into the business field in the future.
With 36 multiple-choice questions for you to complete, the Verbal section is used to evaluate test takers’ comprehension, analysis, and sentence correction ability on a given text.
